Tree Removal in Pont-Viau, Laval

Pont-Viau is one of Laval's oldest and most historically established sectors, situated along the southern edge of the island city adjacent to the Rivière des Prairies. It shares many characteristics with the dense, post-war urban fabric of Laval-des-Rapides and Chomedey — tightly spaced homes, modest lot sizes, and streets lined with large, old trees that have been growing for half a century or more. This combination creates both the charm and the tree management challenges unique to this part of Laval.

Tree work in Pont-Viau requires a high degree of precision. With homes close together and limited working space between structures, sectional dismantling, careful rigging, and sometimes crane-assisted removal are necessary to bring down large trees safely without affecting neighbouring properties. Our team has extensive experience in exactly these types of situations and brings the right equipment and technique to every Pont-Viau job.

The riverfront character of Pont-Viau also creates particular challenges for tree health. Properties near the Rivière des Prairies are subject to occasional flooding, elevated groundwater, and the freeze-thaw cycling that Quebec's river corridors experience intensely. These conditions can compromise root plate stability in large trees over time, making them more likely to fail during wind events even when the above-ground portions of the tree appear healthy. Professional assessment is the only reliable way to evaluate this type of hidden risk.

Pont-Viau homeowners regularly contact us for storm damage cleanup following Quebec's ice storms and summer thunderstorms. The combination of large old trees on small lots means that branch failures and full tree falls have an immediate impact on property safety and access. We prioritize emergency response in Pont-Viau and work efficiently to restore safe conditions after major weather events.

Our services in Pont-Viau include full tree removal with stump grinding, seasonal crown trimming and pruning, emergency storm damage response, arborist risk assessments, and removal of trees that present an immediate hazard to structures or people. All projects begin with a free on-site estimate. We also serve the adjacent neighbourhoods of Laval-des-Rapides, Chomedey, and Saint-Vincent-de-Paul.
